With its cca. 300 members (both professional and allied) LOSZ is the biggest Hungarian association for people in the field of visual culture. As a "Non-profit Organization" we are proud to unite Interior Designers, Industry Partners, Design Students and Supporters - all who have a strong belief in the power of interior design.

Founded in 1995 by a handful of dedicated Interior Designers, Interior Architects, Design Magazine and Industry Partners, the Hungarian Association of Interior Designers (LOSZ) is the oldest, largest and leading professional organization for interior designers up till today. The Association celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2010, but in spite of the short, however rich & vibrant, history of the organization our future goes further - much further - to the forthcoming decades and will shape Hungary's applied visual culture.

From the very beginnings LOSZ is a fore fighter of interior design on an enhanced level, which was lacked during communist era. Being a EU-member, Hungary now finally attached into the blood vessels of European Design Scenes. Nearly all international brands are available through direct representation or via distributorship. LOSZ aims to collect all. In our website all professional LOSZ members can be tracked, with a short introduction, whether you look for an Interior Designer or Associated Industry Partner.

Our aim is to inspire and enrich all LOSZ members by promoting the value of interior design, while providing indispensable knowledge and experiences that build relationships. Professional members of LOSZ must pass rigorous acceptance standards.
All Interior Designers must have a combination of design education and full-time work experience and pass an accreditation acceptance administered by the Qualification Committee of LOSZ (LOSZ TB). All Industry Partners also have to meet the tough acceptance requirements of LOSZ TB. When accepted LOSZ unite the professional designer with manufacturers of design-related products and services, creating a mutual understanding and better bond, all for the interest of our Clients. The Association's membership also includes a few students of interior design and design-conscious supporters of LOSZ.

In the next years LOSZ aims to open its regional chapters, in order to be closer to countryside Interior Designers and their clientele. Also to build up a relation to other Design Societies, both European and overseas, are amongst our plans. These steps will further enhance LOSZ's presence in the local market, and broaden the view of interior designers.
